A selection of journals from the first Maternal Journal workshops will feature as part of new exhibition - The M Word.

The exhibition is curated by Amy Dignan - local artist, mother of three and founder of the arts group, Desperate Artwives - and brings together a number of mother artists to explore concepts based around the maternal experience, motherhood and maternal mental health.

The exhibition includes installation, 'The M Wall’, - a collection of works dedicated to perinatal mental health and its interconnection with art. The work depicts artists’ struggles, ways of coping and coming to terms with their personal maternal experiences, and asks how art can support, reinforce and promote good mental health?

Details: The M Word runs from 1 - 12 May at One Paved Court, 1 Paved Ct, Richmond TW9 1LZ
